At Priory Park Cafe, the safety of our customers is important to us. We want everyone to be able to make informed choices about the food they eat.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please speak to a member of our staff before you order. Our team will do their best to help you choose a suitable dish and can tell you which allergens are present in the food we serve.
The 14 Major Allergens
By law, food businesses in the UK must tell customers if any of the following 14 allergens are used as ingredients in the food we prepare:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (including wheat, rye, barley and oats)
- Crustaceans (such as prawns, crab and lobster)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs (such as mussels and squid)
- Mustard
- Nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts and cashews)
- Peanuts
- Sesame
- Soya
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
Cross-Contamination
Our kitchen handles many different ingredients, and dishes are prepared in shared cooking areas using shared equipment. While we take care when preparing your food, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from a particular allergen. There is always a small risk of cross-contamination.
If you have a severe allergy, please make our staff aware so we can give you the most accurate information available before you order.
Allergen Information for Our Dishes
We are preparing detailed allergen information for each dish on our menu. In the meantime, please ask a member of our team, who will be happy to tell you which allergens are present in any item.
